What can be done on the free tier has been reduced to the point of being worthless, and the next step is a $30/yr subscription. I'm sick of all the software thinking they too can milk users for another subscription. I won't pay a subscription to have a handle on my front door. I won't pay a subscription for heated seats in my car, and I"m not going to pay a subscription just to do a couple things in IFTT. IFTT would have been wise to offer a $45/forever option. That, I would have paid.

Bummer, really unfortunate. I had this 13 years ago, and I happened upon an anniversary email. I remember this awesome app and the smartness of setting up "if this then that". Thought I'd set up some automations now. How sad it is to see it, sign in, and see you get two (2!) whole applets (routines) before you have to pay a monthly subscription. It's like seeing an old friend sell out :(

Hey Rob, thanks for leaving this feedback. We've heard this time and time again, and we're looking at making some improvements to all of our plans shortly. If you check back in, probably a few months, things should be better on this front.

If you try to use "continue with Google", it soft locks your email and you cannot use it, even if you try to make a new account using the email. This includes pressing forgot password. whenever you first launch the app, you get blasted with "buy our premium" when you have no idea the app can do whatever you want it to do.

Hi there! You should be able to reset your password from https://ifttt.com/passwords/forgot even when you signed on from a Google login! The e-mail will go to your "promotions" section in your e-mail. If you continue to have trouble, please email support+android@ifttt.com with the same e-mail you used to sign-up and we'll have a look for you!
