I love it! The alternative story, the characters (Especially Narumi Gen), the gameplay. The only thing that I'm having a little problem with is the release of characters. It's too fast and sudden. As an f2p player, it's hard to keep up and I had to miss some characters just so I could get the other one.

This is just a short, temporary review since I believe the best reviews come after months of play. That said, Kaiju No. 8: The Game already left a strong impression on me! The animations are stunning, combat feels impactful, and the character designs truly capture the spirit of the series. The story is engaging and makes me want to keep playing. My only concern is the lack of early support units, especially healers. In a turn-based game where dodging isn’t possible, so healing is essential.

The game is a lot of fun and does turned based combat pretty well. I will say most of the characters being attackers is kind of awkward, but also the weapon pull rate is much higher than the character pull rate, which can make things feel frustrating when you keep pull the same 5 star weapons, but you don't have a character to pair with it and that's if you even pull a 5 star. The number of rewards you get is also very sparse, and you run out of things to do fast. Paid banners are bad.
