Absolute Batman

I thought this was supposed to be Batman but if he wasnt born rich. Batman has a stolen high profile earthmover and is using guns. Just feels like an attempt to not have him be colored by the general hatred of the rich in society right now. Just generally wasnt a very impressive book. The usual comic book serendipity. Shot a man in the face with a shotgun using what seems to have effectively been coinshot but main characteritis "Non-Lethal" and got lucky on random spread that none of them went into an eye socket. Still had the funds to make a machinegun that shoots electrified bullets to stop vehicles. Yeah sure "poor" Batman.

Great new take on a Batman story where Batman is at a disadvantage without his typical arsenal accessible to him normally through wealth. Granted there are certain moments that require a bit of suspension of disbelief, but overall, this was a fantastic start to a new story and I am excited to see where this goes.

Great first volume to a new form of Batman. the art is great, and the way they play with expectations in the beginning is a lot of fun. It definitely feels like an introduction to something bigger, and I really hope it continues to give this consistent quality.
